About the founder.

Jeannelove Ferguson is a native Knoxvillian and an alumni of Farragut High School & the University of Tennessee. She has been living in the Charleston, SC area for the last 15 years but has recently made the move back to East Tennessee.  During her time in SC,  she became extremely active in the local dog community. She was the Director of Foster Care & Intake as well as the Secretary for the Board of Directors for  Lowcountry Lab Rescue for over 8 years. She was also a Board Member for The Pet Care Place, A Spay & Neuter Facility for 2 years. And most recently she has been a Key Volunteer for Phoenix Rising Border Collie Rescue of South Carolina for the last 4 years. She was a Planning Committee member for  10 years for The Charleston Dog Show held in Marion Square benefiting Middleton Place Hounds and several local Rescue groups.  She was most recently the owner of Palmetto Paws, a local pet Boutique. She is a member of the Alliance of Therapy Dogs, Southeastern Therapy Animal Resources(STAR), Charleston Dog Training Club,  and the National Association of Canine Nose Work.


Jeannelove enjoys training and doing activities with her dogs. These have included Herding, Flyball, Agility, Obedience & Rally, Canine Good Citizen & Advanced CGC, Canine NoseWork & Therapy Dog Work

When not at the store, Jeannelove spends her spare time with her 4 dogs:  A 7 yr old Chocolate Labrador Retriever named Dixie, A 13 yr old Blue Merle Border Collie named Odie, an 11 yr old  Border Collie named Belle, & a 2 yr old ABCA Border Collie named Vanda. She believes that No out fit is complete without Dog Fur.
